Apply leather conditioner with a soft cloth to keep the leather soft and supple, at least twice a year or more often in dry climates. 

Store items in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or strong lighting to prevent fading, discoloration, or mold

Full-grain leather is the highest quality, retaining the hide's natural surface, while "genuine leather" is often a lower-grade material that wears out quickly
